Chelsea have switched their plan on getting a new striker, as Spurs backup striker, Fernando Llorente become another alternative, According to ESPN
Roma star, Edin Dzeko was Chelsea main target this January before getting it over to Olivier Giroud who has become their number one target in recent days.
The England current champions are looking forward to strengthening their attack before the transfer deadline on Wednesday but haven’t got a specify man for that.
However, Llorente was one of Conte’s target last summer and was unable to land him due to management decision but later joined Spurs from Swansea city.
After the failure at getting him last summer may probably join the blues this month since he is experiencing lack of play time with rivals, Spurs.
The 32, Spanish international has been listed as a favourable alternative for Arsenal striker, Olivier Giroud if they fail to bring him to Stamford Bridge in few hours.
But maybe hard for Arsenal and Spurs to submit their players to a team like Chelsea since they are rivals to each other.
The 32-year-old man has mostly played for Spurs from substitute this season, scoring just two goals in 23 appearances.
Chelsea also tries to add him to the squad last January, six months after the arrival of Antonio Conte but Swansea city rejected the offer as he was needed to save them from the relegation zone.
Chelsea has to stay tuned until the very last minutes for them to get what they have been looking for the past few days, striker.
Giroud may decide to leave the Gunners after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang deal was complete but his decision not yet disclose.
Several strikers like Edin Dzeko, Peter Crouch, Christain Benteke and Andy Carrol have been reportedly linked with Chelsea in recent days but all failed to materialise.
