Manchester United are thinking carefully about a very impressive exchange deal with Paris Saint Germain involving Paul Pogba and Marco Verrati.
The 24-year-old returned to Old Trafford in the summer of 2016 from Juventus in a then-record deal of £89 million but he has proved only flashes of his true capability.
Pogba has made every effort to find a designated role in Jose Mourinho’s set up and has recently suffered the disgrace of being dropped for rookie Scott McTominay while injuries have also held him back to find his best form.
United’s chiefs are hopeful that the damage that has been done to the relationship between Pogba and Mourinho should be solve before taking action. The team believe that the problem with the Frenchman may be something between him and the manager
Reports hinted that such a deal would consist of many interconnecting parts but not impossible especially considering both players represented by super-agent Mino Raiola although United’s fact is to help Pogba fulfill his potential at Old Trafford.
Mourinho’s firmness of purpose is to oversee United’s rebuild and has only been harder by champions league defeat to Sevilla.
Mourinho wants at least four players in the summer with a center back as a priority.
