CHELSEA NEWS: Belgian international aim to prove his worth next season

Chelsea beats Premier League team, Southampton in the F.A Cup semi-final, 2 – 0 at Wembley stadium, edging them to the final round of the competition whereby Manchester United will be the opposition team in the final round.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte drop the Belgian international on the bench against Southampton yesterday in replacement with the second goalkeeper, Willy Callebaro. Willy with another clean sheet yesterday with some incredible saves from him keeps the challenge ongoing.

After the match, The Belgian international, Thibaut Courtois promise to challenge Willy and other best in the English Premier League. “I will work hard and prove my worth to the fans worldwide. A mistake is to be adjusted.”

The Belgian international was really disappointing these season most especially against the Spanish leaders, Barcelona in the round 16 of the Champions League competition.

Thibaut Courtois wants to stay at Chelsea next summer despite Real Madrid interest and Ligue 1 giants, Paris St German. He also added during the interview “Everyone is eyeing the WorldCup competition including me and my teammates.”

However, The 25-year old goalkeeper has been placing the status of him signing a new contract with Chelsea at Pending since the Begining of the season. He haven’t agree to sign a new deal despite insisting to remain at Stamford Bridge next season.
