Metro – Jose Mourinho confirms plan for two signings in summer transfer window.

According to Daily news Metro, Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho plans to sign two new central midfielders in replacement for Micheal Carrick who is retiring by the end of the season and Marouane Fellaini who decided to leave after the current campaign.

Fellaini have decided to leave because of lack of playtime at Old Trafford and believes new challenge at another European league will be the best option for him. Micheal Carrick will also be ending his professional career by the end of the season.

Manchester United will be offering the long-time player, Carrick a role as part of the coaching staffs after his retirement.

The Belgian international is expected to become a free agent by the of the season with two months left on his current contract with Manchester United. Jose Mourinho’s favorite, Fellaini has decided to separate himself after rejecting Manchester United contract offer.

Jose Mourinho has now confirmed to place his budget on the middle players as he expects more players to step out. According to him (Jose Mourinho) “We are going to spend big during the summer, not my decision but its plan from the management. we will need to replace some major players, Carrick will be constant and if Fellaini leaves, will have to prepare for his replacement.”

“We are going to make some expensive changes in the Squad. Nowadays a big team needs to spend to get a good result at the end of every season.”

“Some will leave because they didn’t meet up the standard of the team and some will be the future player (young) who deserves more chances.”
